Taisho period (1913 - 1926)

Shaped as two figures standing by an altar, with a seated laughing Buddha revealing a container for ink, all decorated in the Imari palette with gilt. The six character mark reads: taimin seika nensei - Great Ming Dynasty Chenghua period.

This is a fun and decorative piece, but has, obviously no relation to porcelain from the Chenghua Period (1465-1487) or China, for that matter.
